Great nostalgic theatre for your basic needs to watch a movie.. great prices and hot dogs are awesome here. Great value for a great venue.
I was surprised to learn that we have to pay for tickets, unlike the theater on 32nd street. And though it's a standard theater, the line to get in sometimes goes VERY slow. It's otherwise okay.
This base theater is great. Free parking around the building. Not a lot of people there, so plenty of seats. The price is perfect. The popcorn is typical but better priced than town theaters. This underused gem is worth it's price and then some. I gave 4 stars because tonight's movie kept going off and on. Maybe someone unplugged something in the projector room? Other than that? The theater is clean.
Sharkey theater is a pretty good movie theater to visit while in pearl harbor, it's nothing like the movie theaters out in town, the screen is considerably smaller and there seems to be a odd seat to screen size ratio with the large number of seats in the theater but that tends to be the case with older movie theaters... The snack bar only had a small candy selection and the portion sizes were very small for the price... not your average movie theater candy size... Popcorn was pretty good and the screening was pretty cheap and some of the showings are also free from time to time depending on what movies they have on their schedule...
Absolutely love this place! The tickets are cheap, the food prices are cheap, and for as old as the building is the seats are still in pretty good shape.
A nice retro Theater with military pricing - 3D for $7, small screen without stadium seating, but very comfortable rocking chairs and movable armrests with cup holders.
Love the place, convienant, close to home, attentive staff and the National Anthem
Solid theatre and cheap tickets for DoD families. Only complaint is the seemingly needless policy to deny folks water from the soda machine to fill thier water bottles for the movie. Popcorn is also a bit over priced (if the intent is to provide discounted events for DoD). Grateful for the service though.
